A story about scoliosis & lower back pain
When I first started Pilates with Carolina two years ago, my primary goal was to address the constant back pain and sciatica I had been dealing with for years due to my scoliosis. I was skeptical, unsure if Pilates could really make a difference, but the results have been nothing short of life-changing.
From the very first class, I felt Carolina's deep understanding of the body and her thoughtful, individualized approach. She knew exactly how to guide me through each movement in a way that respected my scoliosis, offering modifications that made me feel supported and safe while also challenging me. Slowly, over time, the pain I had become so accustomed to started to fade, and I began to notice a newfound strength in my back and core that I hadn’t felt before.
The most noticeable improvement has been in my posture and flexibility. My back, which used to feel tight and stiff, is now more relaxed, and I have a greater range of motion. The constant sciatica pain I had been living with is now a distant memory. Pilates has given me a sense of freedom in my body that I never thought was possible, and it has also helped me manage the emotional and mental stress that comes with chronic pain.
What has kept me coming back for the past two years is Carolina’s approach. She doesn’t just teach a workout—she teaches an experience. Her classes are always engaging, and her commitment to helping me improve keeps me motivated. It’s not just about the physical exercises; it’s about truly understanding my body and how to care for it, especially with scoliosis.
The progress I’ve made under her guidance has given me more confidence and a sense of empowerment. I can move better, feel stronger, and live a more active life—something I thought was out of reach.
I’m grateful every day that I found Carolina and Pilates. It’s not just a fitness routine—it’s a way of life that has improved my health, boosted my confidence, and helped me live pain-free. I would recommend Pilates with Carolina to anyone looking to heal their body, improve their posture, or simply feel better in their own skin.

A story about neck & shoulder pain
I commenced clinical pilates with Carolina for chronic neck/shoulder pain and related migraines. It has been a game-changer for me.
I had been experiencing chronic neck/shoulder issues with migraines for several years, which has intensified in the last 12 months. Clinical pilates significantly improved my overall strength, flexibility and posture. With regular pilates practice, I can now manage my neck/shoulder issues without any pain medications and I no longer get migraines!
Pilates has helped me become more aware of my body, including understanding where pain is coming from and how to stop my pain from escalating. I have been able to incorporate my learnings into everyday life.
Pilates has also been fantastic for my mental health - I have found an activity I really enjoy. I look forward to pilates class with Carolina and I feel great after every session!

“Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live in"
Before starting clinical Pilates, I struggled with back pain for years, which made daily activities like sitting or bending uncomfortable. After a few classes I started noticing the differences and I am now much more aware of using my body/core in the right way during class and throughout the day (e.g. lifting, sitting, walking). Never thought I would come to this, after living with chronic back pain for many years.
Carolina’s classes have helped me so much and I am so happy I found her! She made me forget everything I (thought I) knew and we started from scratch to build up my strength. Her approach is thoughtful and personalized.

A story about lower back pain
I’ve been doing Pilates with Carolina since just before our first Covid lockdown in 2019. I started Pilates because having been a runner all my life, I was in so much pain that I thought I was going to have to give up (which I put down to the after effects of an ACL reconstruction in my 20s)! But instead, through focused and targeted work with Carolina - doing two sessions per week - my body has been transformed - and in 2023 I ran my first half marathon!
There are many things I love about Carolina’s approach but one of the best things is that she helps you to become self sustaining with your practice at home. Another thing is her obsession with strengthening your feet!
I’d highly recommend her if you’ve got any persistent aches, pains or injuries you need to work on, or for general flexibility, strength and wellbeing.

A story about running
A story about posture & wellness
Working full-time and long days at a desk, I get tight neck and shoulders and I can always stand straighter and more freely after attending my Pilates classes. I have learnt Pilates for over 20 years at different studios and through different teachers and I can highly recommend Carolina’s approach to remediation and mind and body wellness. She is also lovely!
Carolina offers an effective and tailored Pilates regime. With her technical knowledge gained through a Physiotherapy degree, extended through her Pilates and Yoga training, Carolina tailors our Pilates program to suit the needs of our body in each session.
